TL;DR
- UK top-3 compression, day 2: t3 207→161→155 over three days, now 2 days ≤170. But UK ranked count rose 341→344, t10 recovered 322→324, and day-over-day churn was only 4 OUT / 7 IN (net +3). Still a reshuffle, not net visibility loss — but it hasn't bounced yet. One more flat day trips the 3-day escalation trigger.
- Four UK head terms crossed fully OUT (shropshire, british, hereford, sheffield escorts). Pages live and healthy (/uk/ 200, shropshire 200 / 161 profiles), no competitor surge — vivastreet/kommons/adultwork are the same leaders as always. SERP flux, not technical or competitive.
- IT escort-advisor vacuum: EA collapse still confirmed (competitor avg 4.7→13.2). Our IT board hit a week-high t10 (120) and best avg (8.29) — but t3 is still 1. We're holding striking distance and NOT converting it. Internal-link push remains the top-ROI action on the board.
- BR back to steady compounding: the 07-28 spike (117) settled to 111, Δ30d still +3.7. Healthy flicker, not a pullback.
- Everything else is normal churn. No cross-market signature (AT +0.1, DE +0.1, IT +0.2, BR fine, AU −0.2). Nothing site-wide.
What moved and why
UK top-3 compression — reshuffle, day 2 (likely reverses, but watch closely). The three-day t3 arc is 207→161→155 and it has not recovered — that's the concerning part. But every other UK metric says no visibility was lost: t20 = ranked = 344, up from 341; t10 up 322→324; day-over-day ledger just 4 fell OUT against 7 that came IN. The four that crossed OUT below rank 20 were shropshire (3 yesterday), british escorts (a 3→9→OUT slide), hereford (14) and sheffield (18) — i.e. terms already drifting down through a compressed top-20, not clean falls off a cliff. /uk/ and /uk/escort/shropshire/ both return 200 with full profile counts; no noindex, no relocation. Competitor board is unchanged (vivastreet #1, kommons/adultwork behind — no new entrant sweeping the cluster). This is the third instance of the same UK top-3↔lower reshuffle this month; the prior two reversed in 1–2 days with the template untouched. Verdict: likely reverses, confidence likely. The only reason this is amber not green is that t3 has stayed depressed two days without a bounce and named head terms are now the ones crossing the line rather than staying inside top-20.
IT escort-advisor vacuum — we're winning the board but still not the top-3 (confirmed). EA's migration collapse is intact in today's numbers (its IT competitor avg went 4.7→13.2). Our IT board is genuinely at its best of the week: t10 120, avg 8.29, ranked 163 (top of its 155–166 band). But t3 is still 1 — we are converting the vacuum into page-1 depth, not top-3 authority. The escort-city "→OUT wall" in the briefing (milano escort, escort bologna, escort torino, escort monza…) is measured vs the 7-day baseline; day-over-day IT went 166→163 while t10 rose 116→120. Those are the tail terms that oscillate 7–18 — churn, not the case collapsing.
BR growth — spike digesting (confirmed healthy). 07-28's jump to 117 settled to 109→111; avg drifted to 9.58 on new weak entrants but Δ30d is still +3.7 and t10 is 63. The ~10 bairro terms in the mover wall are the usual thin-set flicker. Climb intact.
Investigations
- UK ledger + pages — pulled the 07-29→07-30 pair for all 350 UK keywords: 4 OUT / 7 IN. Live-fetched /uk/ (homepage, serves "british escorts") and /uk/escort/shropshire/ — both 200, healthy, no noindex. Ruled out technical fault.
- UK competitors — checked competitor_ranks on british/shropshire/sheffield escorts: no new domain rising across the cluster; the leaders are the incumbent trio. Ruled out competitive displacement.
- IT vacuum conversion — board is at a week-high on t10/avg but t3 still 1; confirms we're gaining depth, not top-3. Dead end for "did we finally capture the vacated #2/#3": not yet.
- Late-July Google update — did not re-search; the pattern is UK-isolated (all other markets flat/up), which argues against a fresh broad algo move being the driver today.
Opportunities
- IT city pages, still the highest-ROI action on the whole board. EA has vacated top-3 across ~160 IT escort-city terms and we sit at #4–10 on a large slice while its avg sinks to 13.2. We're at a week-high in depth but stuck at t3=1 — the internal-link + freshness push on the #4–10 city pages (Salerno/Pescara/Cagliari and the #4 cohort first) is what converts depth into top-3. Window is still decaying 1–3 weeks until EA reconsolidates under .net.
- BR bairro bench — internal-link window stays open while Google is receptive; gives the flickering rank-4–6 bairro pages a non-SERP visibility floor.
Recommendations
- IT internal-link + freshness push on the #4–10 escort-city pages, #4s first. Unchanged and still #1 by impact — this is the one place we can turn a competitor's collapse into ranking gains, and the board proves the demand is landing on page 1 already.
- UK: hold the template, watch t3 tomorrow. No action on the site. If t3 stays ≤~170 a third day (07-31) or more head terms cross OUT without returning, escalate and pull GSC impressions for /uk/ and the affected city pages to separate real click loss from tracker position flux.
- BR internal links into the thin bairro bench — low-effort insurance for the compounding climb.
Watchlist
Updated watchlist.md: UK compression advanced to day 2 (still reshuffle, escalation line is tomorrow); IT vacuum notes week-high depth but persistent t3=1; BR spike-digestion logged. No cases closed today.
