TL;DR
- IT opportunity of the month: escort-advisor.com — the #1 IT competitor — has cratered from top-3 on 165 keywords (07-23) to just 3 today, losing top-3 on 162 IT terms in 4 days. Cause confirmed live: escort-advisor.com now 301-redirects to escort-advisor.net — a domain migration mid-flight. We're in striking distance (4–15) on 98 of the vacated terms (23 at #4, 58 at 5–10). Act now; the window closes when .net consolidates.
- UK head-term OUT cluster (07-26): reversed as forecast. adult escorts OUT→1, uk escorts OUT→1, trans escorts OUT→4; british held #3. Lone straggler: female escorts still OUT (day 2). Verdict on the volatility call: confirmed.
- BR surged to a week-high: 84→98 ranked (+14), top-10 54→64, top-3 10→12. The 07-26 one-day dip rebounded exactly as predicted, and then some. Internal-link window wide open.
- Everything else is normal churn (76 out / 85 in, net +9). AT rose (t3 240, ranked 445); the Wien →OUT wall is the same three-week flicker. AU −6 is yesterday's spike reverting + habitual blinkers. No cross-market technical signature.
What moved and why
IT — escort-advisor.com domain migration collapse (CONFIRMED cause; high-value, time-sensitive). The daily trajectory is a clean, accelerating slide, not a data blip:
| Date | EA .com ranked | avg | top-3 | top-10 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 07-23 | 309 | 4.7 | 165 | 283 |
| 07-24 | 280 | 6.3 | 83 | 237 |
| 07-25 | 258 | 6.1 | 98 | 217 |
| 07-26 | 190 | 7.4 | 48 | 142 |
| 07-27 | 82 | 12.6 | 3 | 24 |
I fetched escort-advisor.com live: it 301s to www.escort-advisor.net. So this is a domain migration — Google is de-ranking the old .com (the domain TrueRanker tracks) while the .net rebuilds authority. Migrations produce a temporary authority dip; the slide's start (07-24) also sits inside the late-July Google volatility window, which may be compounding it. Confidence: confirmed that EA.com collapsed and that a .com→.net 301 exists; likely that this is a transient migration dip rather than a permanent exit.
Two consequences for us:
- A real IT SERP vacuum is open right now. EA vacated top-3 on 162 terms; we sit #4 on 23 and 5–10 on 58 of them (see Opportunities). We've barely captured it yet — IT board only edged 155→163 ranked over the week — so the upside is still on the table.
- Our competitor tracking is about to go blind on EA. competitor_ranks follows escort-advisor.com; once the migration settles under .net, the .com row will read "gone" even though the entity is back. Don't mistake that for a permanent win.
UK head-term OUT cluster (opened 07-26) — reversal confirmed, closing. Three of the four snapped back in a day: adult escorts OUT→1, uk escorts OUT→1, trans escorts OUT→4; british escorts held #3 throughout. UK board recovered (top-10 334→341, ranked 339→342). This was late-July SERP volatility, exactly as diagnosed. Residual: female escorts OUT for a 2nd day (was ranking off /uk/escort/cornwall/) — one straggler, light watch.
BR growth curve — rebound + new high. 84→98 ranked (+14), top-10 54→64, top-3 10→12, avg steady ~9.1, Δ30d +4.1. The 07-26 dip was the same one-day thin-set flicker as 07-18 and 07-22; it reversed hard. Churn ledger +14 net (30 in / 16 out). Climb firmly intact.
Investigations
- AU net −6 (ruled out as event): 07-26 was a one-day spike to 131 ranked; today reverts to 125 — its 07-24/25 level. All 9 →OUT terms are habitual blinkers (Pascoe Vale 9/31 days OUT, Greensborough & Coburg 8/31, escorts near me 7/31). avg held 6.07→6.14. Non-event.
- DE huren münchen OUT (closed München case, not reopening): it's been flapping 7→6→4→12→12→5→OUT on URL selection between /huren/muenchen/ and /reife/muenchen/. One-day blink, siblings held. Per the case, reopen only if it stays OUT 2+ days or the page status changes.
- Competitor denominator artifact (ruled out where it applies): IT bakecaincontrii.com "5.3→2.0 on 319" is the usual small-n artifact (6–7 ranked kws). DE quoka.de "12.0→17.0" is n≈1. But escort-advisor's IT move is not an artifact — verified over its real ranked set (311→82). This one's real.
- AT Wien flicker (same three-week case): briefing again led with a Wien sex/huren →OUT wall + the daily national↔Wien URL swaps. But AT board rose (ranked 442→445, t3 240, all terms ≤20, zero visibility lost). Churn, healthy. Anchor discipline still the low-urgency fix.
Opportunities
IT escort-city cluster — capture the escort-advisor vacuum (highest-ROI action available right now). 98 terms where EA held top-3 last week and we're now in striking distance. A representative slice where EA was #2/#3 on 07-23, is now OUT, and we sit #4 today: escort firenze, escort salerno, escort pescara, escort ravenna, escort reggio emilia, escort ragusa, escort catanzaro, escort cremona, escort lucca, escort barletta. With the incumbent gone from top-3, these #4s should promote naturally as the SERP settles — an internal-link + freshness push on the IT escort-city pages now could bank #2/#3 before .net reclaims. Time-sensitive: treat as a 1–3 week window.
BR bairro bench — window still open. BR at a week-high with a deep rank-4–6 neighbourhood bench; internal links into the thin bairros remain the highest-ROI BR action and would give the flickering bench a non-SERP floor.
Recommendations
- IT escort-city push (do this week). Internal-link and freshness pass on the ~98 IT escort-city pages sitting #4–15 where escort-advisor vacated top-3. Prioritise the 23 at #4 (Firenze, Salerno, Pescara, Ravenna, Reggio Emilia, Ragusa, Catanzaro, Cremona, Lucca, Barletta…). The incumbent's authority dip is the opening; move before it closes.
- Add escort-advisor.net to the IT competitor set (data hygiene). We currently track only the .com, which the migration is emptying out — we'll be flying blind on EA's real position under .net otherwise. (Note: I can't modify the collector per charter — flagging for a human.)
- UK: no action. Head-term cluster reversed; hold the "don't touch /uk/ template" posture. Only female escorts warrants a glance if it stays OUT past ~07-29.
- BR internal links into the rank-4–6 bairro bench — steady, unchanged, still the best BR lever.
Watchlist (changes mirrored to watchlist.md)
- NEW — IT escort-advisor.com migration collapse / vacuum (opened 07-27): 162 top-3 terms vacated in 4 days; .com 301s to .net (migration). We're striking-distance on 98. Time-sensitive opportunity; track whether we advance and whether EA reappears under .net. Recommend adding .net to competitor tracking.
- UK head-term OUT cluster (opened 07-26): CLOSING — 3 of 4 reversed within a day (adult/uk/trans escorts), british held #3, board recovered. Residual: female escorts OUT day 2, light watch to ~07-29.
- BR growth curve: rebounded to week-high 98 ranked (+14); 07-26 dip confirmed one-day flicker. Climb intact; internal-link window open.
- AT Wien page-split / flicker, DE huren münchen blink, AU spike-revert, 404s, competitor-denominator artifact, daily churn baseline: all unchanged / non-events today.
